Installation Guidelines For SLS X

Section 1: Receiving and Unloading the Machine

1) Initial Handling

When the machine arrives via the transport vehicle, it will be securely packed inside a wooden crate/box. Carefully slide or move the wooden box toward the edge of the vehicle's loading deck

2) Forklift Unloading

Use a forklift to lift the crate. Ensure that the forklift forks are properly aligned and inserted into the designated slots at the bottom of the wooden box

3) Forklift Capacity

The forklift must have a minimum lifting capacity well above 150 kg to ensure safe handling

4) Placement

Carefully transport the crate using the forklift and place it directly at its designated installation spot in the machine room

Section 2: Unboxing and Unpacking the Machine

1) Crate Disassembly

Use a wrecking bar (crowbar) tool to disassemble the wooden crate. Always remove the top wooden plate first, followed by the front, left, and right side panels

2) Vibration Absorption & Wheel Unlocking

Place vibration-absorbing pads or mats beneath the wooden base/ramp area. Once secure, unlock the machine’s caster wheels

3) Unloading from the Base

Gently and slowly roll the machine down from the wooden base. Avoid any sudden drops or jerks, as a sharp impact can severely damage the sensitive internal components and laser alignment

4) Plastic Wrap Removal & Positioning

Carefully peel off the protective plastic stretch wrap from the machine. Once unwrapped, manually push the machine on its wheels into the designated clean room where the final setup is planned

Section 3: Room Requirements and Environmental Control

1) Room Dimensions

The designated machine room must have minimum dimensions of at least 7 × 9 feet to ensure sufficient operational and maintenance space

2) Ventilation & Airflow

The room must be equipped with at least one window to facilitate natural light and basic ventilation when required

3) Temperature Control

To maintain a stable operating environment, the room temperature must be strictly controlled between 17°C and 28°C. A dedicated Air Conditioner (AC) must be installed in the room to prevent overheating

4) Electrical Infrastructure

The electrical setup requires a high-quality switchboard capable of handling a continuous load of at least 2.5 kW at a standard 220V single-phase power supply

4) Flooring

The floor must be perfectly leveled, solid, and stable (preferably concrete with an anti static coating) to support the machine's weight and prevent any vibrations during printing

Section 4: Machine Placement and Clearance

1) Wall Clearance

The machine must be positioned at least 1 meter away from the surrounding walls to allow adequate space for ventilation, heat dissipation, and maintenance access

2) Orientation

The back panel of the machine should face the wall side, ensuring that the main control panel and doors remain fully accessible from the front and sides

Section 5: Securing the Equipment

1) Locking the Wheels

After completing the physical placement and setup of both the machine and the post-processing unit, ensure that the caster wheels on both units are firmly locked. This prevents any accidental movement or shifting during operation
